Nogales is a transition town, a hub for freight coming or going to Mexico Maquiladoras plants. Large trucking companies pulling from LA drop loads here. A truck coming through Tucson at 2:00 AM learned that a piece of freight had to come off in Nogales. The drop wasn’t hot anymore. The mining business often has unusual crates that can’t fit into a drive-in. With Pinch Express’ vast experience of moving equipment with odd dimensions, we were called to help one distributor solve his problem. There was a huge wheel gear that needed to be forked from a shipper’s warehouse to a job site. Production was halted until the new gear was made available. The gear was over 9,000 lbs. and too large to fit in an enclosed trailer. Pinch Express made the pick up, forked the gear on to our flatbed and took it straight to a job site. The speedy service allowed the distributor’s customer to maintain its production schedule.
